How can it be fifty years ago, but there I was on September 11th, 1973 on the 730 Case pulling the 460 Case combine. Both new to us that year. My dad had not planned on buying the combine but it was going so cheap at the farm auction sale that he decided to risk it. It was a step up from the Massey 60 self propelled. What I remember most is the itchy dust, the sunburned face and the numerous times using a crowbar to unplug the cylinder way too often.
