Right now auction price is close to freezer, how long will that last?
The best summer we had was learning how to grass finish. $0.25 a day per head feed cost and $2.5 hanging price. No way no how would I ever go back to putting up haylage, silage and hmc and running a mixer all winter. I enjoyed it but no way can it compete with profit per head.
$3.5 hanging with low inputs and quality meat for local people
