My Vet started having me put calves back on the cow for two weeks, after doing vaccinations, before weaning. Virtually never treat anything.
Same here. I especially like to keep the calves on the cowsfor at least a month after first shots as the vet is cutting the bulls at the same time. Gives the steers a chance to heal while with mama. Will fenceline wean a bit earlier than usual this year as we are very dry and I need to split the pairs and move them to other grass or the sale barn.
