| We've been giving calves preconditioning shots and are thinking about weaning them to let these cows heal up a little bit before winter. The grass is really dried out here and lots of grasshoppers. Would it be better on the calves to vaccinate and wean at the same time, wean and vaccinate later, or vaccinate and leave them on the cows for a few weeks before weaning? Like to get them off the cows pretty quick but I don't want to get a bunch of sick ones. Maybe somebody's got a better idea than what I'm thinking of. | |
