Subject: RE: Trimble and 2020 monitor questions

1) No. The 20/20 needs it's own wiring from a certain point. IF Trimble is using similar modules top what an FMX would have used, there ought to be a Trimble module on the planter to connect to the planter harness for seed monitoring, DIFFERENT from a module that would control rate and or sections. You ought to be able to unhook that from the Trimble module and plug in whatever generation of 20/20 you have there, OR it may be as the old days of Gen1,2 Smart connectors for the 20/20 and just plug inline then you can monitor from BOTH screens.

2) At that point, you would be monitoring the planter with the 20/20 and the Trimble is controlling the clutches.

3) I ran an FMX and a 20/20 (together) for years and had the Trimble control the planter rate and section as well as monitor the planter, and the 20/20 was just monitor recording seeds as planted.

It worked well having the 20/20.

With our newer planter I haven't installed the 20/20 yet, just using the FMX and I SORELY miss the 20/20.
