 KY | Whatever brand you go with, spend the money on the composite toe. Not sure what type of work, but if the load is heavy enough to fail the toe, at least with the composite you have a fighting chance of keeping your toes, with the steel, not so much. Lot of Red Wing lovers on here and I wore them for years.. but they have got to be the heaviest boot I've ever worn. The Keens were fairly comfortable and lighter, but I'm a slip on guy generally. I wear Ariats now, a composite for when I need it and the same pair in a soft toe for "every day". I even wear them with slacks to meetings. |
