My brother talked to a shoe repair guy about resoling his steel toe Red Wings about a month ago. The shoe repair guy said most shoe brands replaced the part of the shoe that the sole gets attached to with a cheap piece of material that doesn't last. He said it's not feasible to put new soles on them. Welcome to the "throw-away" generation...
