6" from dent to maturity? Are you talking for 600 bushel corn or what? Because there are lots of areas that raise darn good corn on 8-10" from planting till black layer. I don't know who or where some of these data points for corn come from but they're a little silly.
Those places are using a lot of soil moisture. Various universities have done studies on it. |
