Pricing out a FJ Dynamics system as I only need autosteer capabilities for fall strip till rig. Want to get RTK with MNCORS system.
It is my understanding that I can use a hot spot to generate the WIFI signal to connect to MNCORS. I want it separate from my phone so people other than myself can run it. Went to AT&T this weekend and they said separate simcard with 5G is $75 per month when I use the hotspot and $10 for month for when I don't (offseason months). They told me to buy this certain hotspot unit on amazon so I could plug it into cigarette lighter on tractor. Is this the way to do it?
Saw at Target they sell a 5G simcard, 40 GB, for around $50 a month... no contract.... Would this be better? Just buy it once in the fall let it expire, then buy it again in the spring and let it exprire.... Just looking for the cheapest & most reliable option.
