| There’s no way that 60 days is right. It’s about 60 days from R1 to black layer. It’s only 20 days from dent to black layer. He was saying eastern corn was just starting the R phase when he published that podcast?
Our corn was planted mid may and went through a stage of no growth in the June drought. It came out of it fine and it’s moving right along. We’re planning on drying a lot of corn but November 1st? No way.
Edit: I’m not doubting what Ken saw but I don’t think you can apply that to huge areas. The much maligned crop tour found corn that was behind but most of the posted pictures had to have been at least some stage of milk.
