But...
At that point they didn't know what boat they were in at that point. Neither did we. Had we gotten 2" ten days ago, the hot week wouldn't have been so destructive. I have sympathy for anybody going through weather woes. We all have hundreds of thousands or millions invested in every crop. I know there is insurance, but we all just want to grow a good crop. I can't imagine going through evrything I do each year without a certain amount of optimism. It can be frustrating watching others you KNOW have better general situations complaining about their weather, but they don't know the future and think they can end up with disaster...they had some pretty low yields in the ECB in 2012. It can happen. I get my head bit off weekly by those in Nebraska and Kansas, etc that think I live in heaven w/r to weather and soil. While my disaster isn't theirs, its still disaster (not talking about this crop) | |
