EC SoDak | Hey Dewey, no, I don’t mean what I’m writing in any bad way! My opinion is, and correct me if I’m way off base, that the eastern belt gets about twice my moisture. So when y’all are shorted in decent ground areas, some of us western fellas can provide some guidance on abilities. So, IMHO, in good dirt areas, moisture maters only to an extent as corn is going into hyper growth stage, but becomes very important post pollination. Weaker ground (which I have plenty of) will require some moisture before then, but still has the opportunity to do decent. Earlier on, months ago, I was trying to explain this to the good dirt areas of the I States.
Right or wrong, you’re probably right. With some training and education, we all could farm in each others areas and be successful at it. I don’t mean any ill will..
How are things holding together your way? | |
