
| For boots on the ground- I just drove both ways through the heart of that Illinois rain belt going to Rantoul and back. Basically I-74 through Peoria/Bloomington eastbound, and 136 westbound for home. 95% of that storm landed where the crop is already made and is excellent. A bit of it landed on lighter soils where there's a lot of irrigation, and you can really tell the non-irrigated acres took it on the chin earlier. Illinois is no record-breaker, but it's above ten year average for sure. |
