Scranton | You make a lot of assumptions.
250 is far from norm "here". Norm is more like 200-225. Can easily fall to 180.
Also norm: $15,000-17,000 land. $400/ac rent. More expensive seed packages. Dry Julys (I've had five julys starting in 2012 with zero rain). Now in a four year dry spell with around 15 inches of precipitation annually(edit: I'm at 10 inches rain total since april 1...what are you at in this time period?) . 100 mph windstorms.
Also a norm here: sympathy for what other farmers are going through without trying to judge them for what you THINK they are going through.
