Goes to show that there are a lot of areas that don’t need as much moisture to raise a good crop as they think they need.
Panic was setting in when tile lines weren’t running. They run when there is EXCESS water. Just because they are not running water doesn’t mean there is not adequate water available.


So correct. The doom and gloom that goes on in early crop stages just because the tile isn't running and the yards are brown. Many of them have little experience with yield limiting crop stress. If in fact they had a year where they weren't bailed out by later good weather, their odds of ever seeing that again in a decade or two is so small, but they'll worry every year anyway. I wonder how many of them took advantage of the drier year to do some projects that are usually hampered by being too wet? I won't be needed as much at the harvest fields this fall so I plan on being in the dozer and excavator much more. Maybe build a steel building. I'm kinda looking forward to not stressing over harvest.
