Subject: RE: Ag Leader for Yield Monitoring and Steering in JD S6XX Combines

Michigan
I'm in a similar situation. New to me 2013 S660. Mine came with Precision Yield Sense, which I will probably not change, and waas receiver (AL 2500?). I have two other receivers that can give me RTK NMEA, and two OnTrac3s. This machine's steering is stiff, I'm not sure the OT3 could handle it, and if there's a valve already there it seems silly not to use it.

I'm also waiting for more info from my AgLeader dealer. I'm planning on upgrading a GeoSteer, so will probably have a Z2/7500. Maybe that could move from tractor to combine.

Do you have a touchscreen on the command arm? Mine is. I have navigated thru the guidance section, but have no gps. I was under the impression that an unlock would allow it to steer, but this is the only Deere screen I've ever dealt with, I know nothing.

Questions to add to yours:
Is the GS3 touchscreen capable of steering, or is the bigger Deere screen required?
Can generic NMEA be fed to the Deere system, or is a yellow globe required?
