I have been watching that rain move across the border of Kansas and Nebraska since 4:00 yesterday afternoon. It had been moving slow and straight towards us. Looked awhile ago and it's starting to cut south. Same crap as it has been all summer. The drought continues the way it looks. Edited to add 76 and muggy here.
Don't feel like the lone ranger. We had pond fillers all around us and pretty wide spread but we got bumpkis again. Back to hauling cattle water but only 90 degrees instead of 109. Back over 100 by Friday I guess. Never have I seen so many major 100+ events spread out by a week or two in between. Any good weather from here on out just costs us time and diesel and money, but it would have been nice to see some water in a ditch for the first time in a long, long time. |
