EC SD | When soybeans give up and shutdown prematurely in mid-August, the yield loss will be huge. Likely less than 1/2 of the potential yield with good filling weather, or even "normal" weather over the next few weeks. August is when beans are made!
When I have had extremely poor hot/dry August weather, my soy yields were in the teens to lower 30s depending on soil moisture levels. Thankfully years like that are rare here and I would assume quite rare there too...
Sorry to hear your crop is so severely impacted by weather this year. | |
