sc ne | I don't know what's right, but I started dropping mine in northwest Nuckolls county Tuesday to try to be proactive on saving leaves. The longer you let them try the more leaves you will lose. I dropped mine with an old Heston style swather, and they didn't make a very big windrow. now we have a chance of rain tonight, and I doubt even with being in a thin windrow that they will be ready to bale tonight, so I will leave them out there to bait the rain. it looks like weather will be good for drying after the weekend. I was planning to treat like alfalfa, but I'm scared to touch it with a rake because I'm sure I will lose pods and leaves. | |
