SE Iowa | I think a fair amount of the state was on the cusp of an overall record mid July. Sure it was right dry but the stands everywhere were perfect with little leached nitrogen. The weather never materialized. The state will average okay but 200 seems lofty to me. Ears on our corn have been done for a few days at least. Today bleached the rest of the plant. Tomorrow is now supposed to be just as hot. I’ll take that rain chance tomorrow evening on the beans though. Slight, but it’s something… | |
