I watched the youtube.....they talked about protein and kidney function, and how the increased the gfr with protein.

if you care to read about the care of kidney patients, we actually suggest reducting the protein intake, matter of fact, in ckd 4, it is not uncommon to suggest
a .4 to .5 g per kg protein consumption.

being connected to a dialysis machine for 3 or so hours, 3 days a week, or if home hemo, on a modifed system using the nexstage machine, 5 times a week, or
per two eachanges or more per day, is not fun.

I've seen way too much of it.

talk to your nephrologist, if you serious ckd....if you can get in to see one, more and more dialysis patients each day, many centers are full and can take no more, and these doctors are running as fast as they can, and can't keep up.

don't make them any more busy by saying going to keto if you have advance ckd.
