West Texas
Drip has its place but not everywhere. We can beat drip coming and going with a pivot. We put in our drip 1997 has 5 gal min to acre and still have never beat our pivots. Where the soil is tight it has a big advantage but in the sand we can't get the water to the top for planting moisture. In West Texas there will be cotton as long as there is a farmer!
