Central KS | Going to find out this week. Laid a bunch down on Saturday going to have a custom baler wrap it up. The market he has for selling hay was better than we could get if we tried to sell, and don’t have to bale ourselves. Says they take 5 to 6 days to dry down. He will rake them in the night right ahead of the Baler, I would’ve considered raking right behind the swather with this weather they will dry down in a double windrow…
As far as swather settings I would back off crimper tension but would not widen gap, you still need to bust the stems up. We ran as much pressure as we could while still keeping the leaves and pods on. Massey WR9970
