garvo's advice is probably spot on for iowa-but not for the droughty c--p in kansas. put some up last year-had to rake it together or there wouldnt been a swath-raked 6 hours after swather to retain leaves(at night). heat and humidity baled 2 days later!!!!!!!!!!(at night to retain leaves) Heat and humidity play a huge role!!!!!!!!!!!!
