The motor unwinds the tile. The flow from #4 SCV controls the reel. The oil is first directed to the potentiometer with the arm on it beside the cab, and then continues to the reel motor. When the feeder takes the slack out of the pipe from the reel, the tile lifts the arm and oil is released to the motor to turn the reel in relation to how high the arm is lifted. As the roll gets smaller, the flow also must be raised by turning the flow from the SCV up to compensate for the speed needed. There isn’t enough flow range in a potentiometer to follow through a whole roll. Bron uses an electric over hydraulic flow meter with a knob in the cab to adjust there reel speed.
