I run the cylinders in float. It just makes the plow glide around as tight of a corner as the tractor will make. The plow handles MUCH better than the original design.
We changed the point to give some added strength and ability. We work in limestone some, and we had to keep a Crary point and a handful of bolts in the supply truck because we had trouble with it nearly every day when working in limestone. If you notice, there is a bulge of weld on the front of the shank behind the lower arm. That is because the shank was bent back several inches. The weld got it pulled back to nearly straight. The pivot on the shank in the lower arm was also worn out, so Brian @ B&M designed that bridge on the side of the shank to widen the pivot and make it a little more rigid. There are roller bearings behind that bridge as well to hopefully make it stay tight longer than the original pivot lasted.
