Southern Missouri | O ,they already have just a few posts up above , I don’t think anyone here is trying to say Missouri is gonna average 25 bu corn , but there are people here saying we have fields and neighbors that aren’t going to be rejoicing in the bounty of a good harvest. Crop insurance is going to be very important to some my friends and neighbors, nearly all of them are good folks with families and I personally hope there’s a way for folks with thinner topsoil and a little less lucky on the rain gauge to carry on .
I have no problem admitting the problem in my area is the soil here is conducive to drought , we normally are a wetter area with good average yearly rainfall but dry weather happened early around here and we plant early around here trying to avoid the normally dryer months , didn’t work here this year for the dryland guys
