I also remember a couple of years ago hearing about it. I don't know that officialdom changed its recommendation back then or if just recently that has been done. Kind of like the evidence of eating foods with cholesterol doesn't affect the blood cholesterol much if any. That has been known for quite a few years now through multiple studies but only in the last year or two has the official organizations quietly dropped saturated fat and cholesterol as a food of concern. From the time something is pretty well learned till the time it is actually implemented in the medical community can be several years if not decades. Old medical dogma dies hard. |
