Subject: RE: PTSD

Townsend, Montana
My great grandfather (96 and doing well) signed up for the Navy in WW2 when he was 16. He has some post traumatic stress (I don't consider it a disorder) and he will not and has never spoken of his time in the Navy to anyone. If anyone asks him about it, he goes silent and then changes the subject. To this day he still has an occasional nightmare from his days in the Pacific.

I don't have it yet but it is a concern in the back of my mind as I occasionally have to deal with a bad situation as a first responder. Not sure how to guard against it other than be willing to open up and talk about it, which I struggle with.
