| I'm trying to salvage some shanks/spring assemblies from an ancient Friggstad Chisel Plow for another project. We haven't pulled this plow since dad traded away his Steiger Panther back in the early 90s. Overall some of the shanks are in surprisingly in useable condition. What I'm am needing is the 5/8" clamp bolts that hold the shanks on the 4" x 4" square tubing. On my plow the clamps sit on the bar in a diamond shape, not square like a tradition u-bold. From best I can tell Chisel Plow is older than a 1979 model as the spring assemblies are all steel (no cast pieces).
I know Friggstad sold to Flexicoil which is now owned by CHN. My Case IH parts guy is able to look up Flexicoil parts but we cannot find the specialized U-Bolt. I don't even know the model of the chisel plow. I'm located on the Upper Gulf Coast of TX and Chisel plows are not used much down here so my parts selection is thin. Does anybody have a dealership/source that might be able to sell these clamp bolts?
