Subject: RE: John Deere 9100 or 9200 axle bearing damage?

Milford, IL
Friend of mine was a JD service tech for years - still works as a repair tech but not ag. From memory I think he said 9000 series axle tolerance is .003 or three thousandths. To test put a dial indicator on the axle and jack up the tractor.

This converstaion happened a long time ago so probably best to consult a tech manual.

edited to add - agtalk poster '01htec' said in another thread the spec is 12 thousandths for a 9200.
