Subject: RE: Rain smounts

Central Illinois

.05 Wednesday afternoon, brought total to .18 since July 6.

.8 Friday night, heard a report of 2 inches not that far away, radar looked like some generous amounts to the north.

Started raining 4:40 Sunday afternoon, around .50 the first half hour, looks like 2.3 inches total (for the day) at 5:30, still raining but has slowed considerably.

Edit: heavy rain again about 5:45, maybe 5-10 minutes at most, the gauge I can see from the house was 2.7 inches total (large straight gauge with funnel on top, approx. 2 feet tall).

Other (tapered) gauge 100 feet away had 3.3 total, plenty of water running through waterway. Usually the gauge totals are closer than that.
