Been 50 years but, seems we cut off the cob outside in the yard, brought corn onto a boil and skimmed off any light husk and silks, drained it into cool water a few times and bagged it or at that time used plastic quarts or pressure canned it, seems one year we didn’t pressure it long enough and it fermented and unsealed the jar
