Missouri | for piston compressors if you are concerned with efficiency look at compressors with intake valve unloaders you can let the motor run and cycle the pump normally , you turn this function on when running the compressor pump more than 50 percent of the time to reduce starting cost and it easer on both motor and pump can be set to run both ways depending on daily needs you need to look at real cfm needs now and in future talk to compressor shops that will be around in the future not just some one selling whatever they can get there hands on i know you are looking for new if you look at older Ingersoll ,s you may be able to buy 15 to 25 hp send it in have it serviced end up with a high end compressor for a low end price . eaton compressors can set one up like this for you as can a high end quincy rolaiair kellog cast air . the farm store compressos and low end ingersoll or Quincy's don't have the ability for this feature
