screw compressors don't do well unless fully loader more tan 85 percent of the time everyone selling them say they throttle to only put out the necessary air if you do that they tend to over heat buying a comp big enough to blow off a combine at high velocity is going to be way over capacity for a 4 or 5 man shop a 1 man shop a 7.5 to 10 hp piston compressor it is much more forgiving at higher psi and normally can run at a higher psi which may be hard on impacts but will brake thinks lose way faster Ingersoll rands are not what they used to be the eaton polars are good Quincy's are good north central air out of kansas have given us great service
