| Castair seems to be an OK compressor. I have had a Castair like the one 4020 shows for at least 15 years, maybe 20 and it keeps on chugging along siting in a cold store room. It serves two shops, one a truck shop the other a tractor shop so it runs quite often. One time we wore it down with a 1" air wrench lugging on very tough truck wheels but that was the only time it could not keep up with our air tools. It will keep up with a smaller sandblaster for awhile but needs a rest once in awhile in that application. For steady sandblasting I pair it up with a 27 CFM gas powered compressor that happens to be a Castair also so I can sandblast until the sandblaster runs empty. there are other good compressors out there too, probably only a few companies make the components for the assembly companies. | |
