We were extremely dry in June and most of July in N. Illinois. I am seeing lots of 16-18 around ears that are about 30-36 long with some scattered kernels missing. Looks like the stress got us. We did see some "translucent" kernels last year, looks like missed pollination. It's really stress at V5-V10, similar to damage from late Roundup application.
