Tip die back is usually potassium. Zipper could be from drought stress. It’s not the heat. They grow 250 corn on the best dirt here. I don’t think heat is as limiting a factor as people would like to believe. Especially with the new hybrids

Here’s a link. The pic doesn’t show up well on here. It says heat or drought. I’ve read poor tip fill can be a result of not enough potassium. It does get hot and that’s takes a lot of irrigation but again I don’t think heats to blame, or maybe it is but I think things can be done to mitigate how much stress the plant is under when it’s hot. Like ample fertilizer and water
