Subject: Corn ears not filled long enough

East Central Arkansas
What am I doing wrong? It''s NK 1748. Now these two ears did come off the 4 rows where my sprayer runs and it has been several years since those rows have been subsoiled. This has been planted back into the old rows several years only bedding over old row and dragging off. This year's corn crop was no tilled into old soybean rows and wasn't bedded before planting. Did run cultivator at about knee high to cover Urea and make a good irrigation furrow. I do think the ears look better than last year. I need to pull a 1/1000 ac sample and compareally to last year in a few days or so.
