| Hey Guys, we have a John Deere 4995 swather with a 995 Rotary head. We have been trying to swath down some 5ft to 6ft tall haygrazer. We can only run about 1.3 MPH in this haygrazer. It seems like the problem is that the crimpers are not grabbing ahold of the haygrazer as it gets to the crimpers and it's not feeding it on through, it's like it only feeds big chunks through and it is not a constant even flow. We have widened and closed the crimpers down and it's seems like it doesn't make any difference. We replaced the knifes before we started. All the rotary cutters are set to feed towards the center of the crimper. We have the rotary cutters set to run 3,000 RPM. I was just curious if any of you guys have had any problems like this before with one of these? I will post some pictures below of the Haygrazer we are trying to swath.
Thank you,
