I can get pretty close the week it black layers using actual weights and moistures.  But it's a lot of legwork and not much fun to get enough samples.   Late in the day with a six pack helps motivation...     But if you really do this work, it will give you insight about what kernel sizes of 69k or 90k or 110k per bushel actually look like.
