East of Broken Bow | I got to be real good friends with a guy who had an SS tattoo. One day, I finally asked him how he got it, thinking it might have been from some 'young and dumb' escapade.
Turns out he was in the Marine Corps, and they had a group that passed Sniper Scout (or was that Scout Sniper) training, and all got matching tattoos. At a glance they do look like the SS logo, but when he points it out, you can tell they are different. I do not know of that was a one time deal, or if the Marine Snipers routinely get those tattoos.
His tattoo had the 'SS' just like you see in this logo, but without the crosshairs.
If the tattoos look like this, maybe don't assume they are some kind of racist (again, he had just the letters 'SS' tattooed on his arm. This logo was just the first pic I could find that depicted it, ignore the other stuff).
