We've done more then we probably should.. Some neighbors still have.. maybe 25% left to go. We got the majority of one quarter.. but just never could get enough drying conditions to roll longer than say from 5 to 8 pm.. then more rains.
Our areas biggest harvest day was July the 4th.. moisture than was 10%
We tried 5 more times harvesting a sum total of 8 loads..
16% 15.3% 17.6% 15.2% A couple 13's Then 16.9% with some sprout damage.. test weights fell from 59.4 to 54.1 with grades going from #2 to #4.
We got all our landlords wheat cut.. I left mine for last.. I got 8.7 bu/acre off it.. with probably.. 10% of what we sowed remaining.
Our dryland average was 29 bu/acre
But we did get the double crop soybeans in.. if not for the changes in insurance.. we wouldn't have tried.
What a year!!
Several pivots flipped to my west.. and it rained again last night.
