I just wanted to get rid of the old rusty battery boxes and the long skinny batteries so I built a box for a single group 31 mounted on the frame rail beside the starter. Also went to stud terminal type battery and added a battery disconnect at the same time. The cables with the ring terminals are easier to work with installing the disconnect and battery and I can keep them from corroding easier than the post type battery cables. A single 900+ CCA battery works here for most chore tractors. I have two in parallel on a few of the larger ones. | |
