northeast ohio | Manure was injected with a Houle tanker with closers on 12/9 when we had just above marginal conditions but needed a place to apply. The barley was perfect for limiting potential run off. The light green / yellow is when it first started greening up in March so the plants further from injection were yet to access the N. This did cause a delay in harvest by a week compared to a neighboring field the was top dressed with commercial fertilizer. In that field we planted corn 10 days ago. Being that the corn ankle high today it may go to silage.
Aerial of the injection field the day after soybean harvest in mid-October ‘22 and the barley cover of another field in January. The injection field was similar before application.
