Frederick, Md | I had terrible slug issues last year. Replanted almost 300ac. One of my farms is 30mi away and I hated the thought of going back to it. The hula hoop said the stand was 60-75k in most places. I left it alone and agonized over it all summer long. When we cut the beans they averaged 58bu, which was only slightly lower than some of the replanted beans on similar ground types.
Guess what I’m saying is, looking at your pics I think I’d leave them alone. If you do replant, just plant through the current stand. | |
