West Central Indiana | Definitely wouldn’t tear anything up and try to start over. If there’s 60-100k out there I’d leave it alone. Most E3s bush out very well. If you decide to spot in thin spots or cut population back and replant entire field, maybe going with a much earlier maturity would make them mature closer to original variety. Either way if you replant now then they’ll probably cut like double crop beans. I had to make same decision on a couple small fields where groundhogs, voles, and other critters decimated a beautiful stand of beans back in late May. Decided to drop population to 90k and spot in thin spots on 1 field and replanted 3 acres on another. Didn’t hurt the original stand much. They’ll probably be a bear to cut this fall but I can’t stand bare spots in crops | |
