New Mexico | I never thought of that...but heck seems like if the Midwest folks refer to distillers as cake that's a pretty good term for it up there.
In the S and SW cake is always cottonseed cake ( cubes ), generally 2 choices the 22 to 24% protien cake or the 38% cake.
I probably should not have thrown in the yellow cake term ( just mixes things up more ) plenty of range ground down here on the west slope is on yellow cake ground, ie uranium reserves ( look ) rangeland.
Getting to be so few agri folks left, that it probably does not matter what they're all saying anyway...Main thing being is the they're all still talking.
