If I am remembering correctly on my other head I just plugged the 3 wire speed sensor into the 2 wire header harness and it worked. The 3rd terminal on the sensor was not hooked to anything.
I think I remember this from putting the 9250 on the 560c but may have been putting a 8200 on a 9790 Massey also. It's been awhile
Will factory acx sensor configuration make it work correctly?

Yes, the factory ACX sensor will make it work correctly, if you still have the right bracket it mount it in. It mounts differently than the other styles.
The 3 wire sensor on a 9250 plugged into a 3 wire harness, the 2 wire sensor plugged into a 3 wire harness as well...so, you are remembering the 2 wire being plugged into the 3 wire harness I believe.
You have to get 3 wires to work on the Axial machines.
