My shaft is also in bad shape. I think you'll be happy with how much this tightened it up. The question will be how long it stays that way. If it wears again I'll plan to replace the shaft but will still plan to use the 7810 longer coupler.
We use our tractor to bale a lot of small square bales. Maybe that is why the issue showed up so quick. I'm surprised some people get so many hours without an issue.
